We're a cool, thoughtful bunch.

Our members include practicing and former/retired artists, musicians, therapists, teachers, doctors, authors, activists, long-time meditators, an astrologer, a juggler and ukelele player, a Hebrew scribe, a former tennis teaching pro, and all kinds of other deep thinkers and feelers. Our members are longtime lesbians and newly out women in their 60s, 70s and 80s, from all over the U.S. and several other countries. Some are coupled; many are single.  

We meet to make life better for ourselves and each other, and for our world, too.

Aging often brings isolation and loss. As we get older, most of us  face health challenges, and so do the people we love. Often we lose people who are dear to us. We have to continually re-imagine ourselves in order to live lives we love, especially with the impact of climate change, COVID and other world events. Loneliness takes a big toll. We need each other.  

So, we gather as conscious lesbian elders each week (Tuesdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Pacific Time) to talk about things that matter, make new friends, and enhance each other's lives with kindness, deep listening, a sense of community, and fun.

Should you join the Conscious Lesbian Elders Group or the Conscious Girlfriend Academy -- or both?

The Elders Group is specifically for lesbian elders who want to connect and support each other. There's no curriculum other than friendship and connection. You may join the group a la carte, if that's all you want :)

The rest of the Conscious Girlfriend Academy offers multigenerational, content-rich classes and skill-building labs to help lesbians learn how to date in healthy ways and create fulfilling, lasting love relationships. When you join the Academy, the Conscious Lesbian Elders Group is included as a free bonus!  

Quite a few women participate in both the Elders* Group and the Academy. Of course, you can also choose just one. Either way, if you want to be among introspective, compassionate, growth-oriented lesbians, we've got you covered. 

By the way, we mean "elders" in a respectful sense - not "elderly!"

What Happens In Our Meetings

An average of 15-30 members attend weekly. We ground ourselves in our power to be conscious, compassionate and curious, and check in about celebrations and challenges in your life. Health, family, dating, love, art, activism, housing, loss -- we talk about it all.  

Each meeting includes two or three breakout groups of 2-4 members each, so you can share more deeply. 

Sometimes we have conversations about lesbian dating or sex after 60, rewiring our neural pathways toward greater happiness, and other topics, but they are not classes, and they don't get recorded. 

What Else You'll Get As a Group Member

✔A private Facebook Group and Whatsapp chat as additional ways to stay connected.  

✔A place to talk about things that matter. Recent topics have included: How to meet the rigors of this world with an open heart. How to better advocate for your medical well-being. How to navigate challenges with important people in your life.... and whatever else is in your heart and on your mind. 

✔✔Access to subgroups that meet regularly like one that meets on topics of aging, including how to navigate financial, legal, housing and medical concerns and needs for our lesbian elders.
