Scholarship Guidelines
Who We Are, And Who Our Scholarships Are For
Conscious Girlfriend Academy is a small, idealistic lesbian-owned business committed to accessibility. We do not have corporate sponsors, receive government grants, or have any source of income other than our participant payments.
We deeply want our work to be available to those who need it, regardless of income, so we offer scholarships in a spirit of love and trust. These scholarships are available to help those who face financial barriers to our work, so that no one ever has to tell us, "I'd love to take your classes, but I just can't afford it."
Please Do Ask Us For A Scholarship If:
✔️ You sincerely want to learn conscious, healthy lesbian/queer dating and relationship skills.
✔️ You won't be able to attend at all without a price break, or paying full tuition would lead to your not having enough left for necessities.
✔️ You are likely in a permanent state of low income and low assets.
✔️ You are likely in a temporary state of low income and low assets, and you will start paying full fee once your circumstances change.
Please Don't Ask Us For A Scholarship If:
✔️ You are just looking for a bargain, or you just don't see the value in what CGA is offering.
✔️ The tuition feels like too much for a class, though you'd spend that same amount without qualms on a trip, vacation, or other pleasurable activity.
✔️ You are someone who takes overseas or Olivia trips, drives a late-model luxury car, owns multiple properties, owns your home and has substantial equity, and/or spends money on luxury goods, original art, concerts and dinners out.
Many members tell us that their time in the Academy changed their lives much more than years of 1:1 therapy, and could have saved them huge sums of money post-breakup or divorce, as well as years of heartbreak.
So honestly, if you can afford it, we think the Academy tuition is quite a bargain.
But if you can't afford it, we absolutely want to make this transformation available to you! Please look at the chart below to get a sense of what level of discount you qualify for, and then email us at [email protected] with your request.
We freely offer the discounts below for all of our online programs. Our fixed costs are much higher with in-person retreats, so scholarships for those are more limited -- but you can still ask.
Senior Discount
Optional, 10-25% off everything for those over 60 who face financial hardship.
Of course, if you are able to pay the full price, doing so will support our work.
BIPOC Discount
For those with lived experience as Black, Indigenous, Latinx or Asian in white-dominated countries, OR for those living within local economies vastly different from the U.S. economy — e.g. the Philippines and India
BIPOC discounts of 25%, 50% and 75% off, as needed.
Of course, if you are able to pay the full price, doing so will support our work.

Non-U.S. Resident
If you live in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or any other country in which the local currency puts you at a disadvantage for paying in USD.
Discounts of 10-50% off, as needed, to bring the cost in your local currency in line with USD.

Bring in two friends who pay full fee, and you can come free.
Join our outreach/affiliate program, so you can get paid for spreading the word about CGA
Attend the many programs we offer free (just pay a $1.00 trust and safety fee
the first time you sign up, and it's free after that)
Join our open Facebook Group, Lesbian & Queer Conscious Connection,
to get snippets of our community and connect with like-minded people
Request a free PDF of the whole book if you can't afford to buy it
Listen to our podcast, read our blog, watch our Youtube Channel! You can even organize a group
of friends for a book club or to spend an evening together watching a CGA video.
