The Why 

These offerings are inspired by lesbian visionary Audre Lorde, author of The Erotic as Power, who wrote: "Recognizing the power of the erotic within our lives can give us the energy to pursue genuine change within our world... For not only do we touch our most profoundly creative source, but we do that which is female and self-affirming in the face of a racist, patriarchal, and anti-erotic society." 

Class #2 - Embracing

Physical, psychological, energetic and emotional routes to passion and pleasure: understanding your core erotic theme(s) and erotic love languages. Including experiential practices to help you mine your past experience and/or fantasy life - or learn to fantasize! - to identify the qualities of experience you most yearn to have in bed, and how to get there. We'll also discuss sacred sexuality. 

Class #4 - Exploring

Whether you're kissing, touching, having oral sex, using sex toys, playing with kink, and/or opening to whatever else you find erotically charged or pleasurable, great sex is all about exploration and attunement. Including experiential practices to help you explore your current preferences, and your curiosities and desired growth edges. Plus: what role does orgasm play?

Class #6: Liberation! 

Putting it all together: how to use what you've learned to continue to understand and embrace your erotic self, develop life-changing sexual communication skills,  become a great lover to yourself and others, and fully inhabit your pleasure and life force.  We'll also discuss how to have great erotic experiences at any age and stage, and while solo or partnered. 

Class #1 - Reclaiming

Together, we will acknowledge the forces that have made it hard for us to claim our gender(s) and sexuality - the shame, the trauma, the homophobia and actual threats we have faced and still face - and discover how to say Yes anyway to our birthright of erotic pleasure. Including powerful experiential practices to release internalized homophobia and reclaim our younger selves from trauma.  

Class #3 - Your Sexual Self

Are you a top, bottom, switch, or something else? Yin or yang? Butch, femme, futch, genderqueer, non-binary? Lesbian, queer, or sexually fluid? Most importantly, how can these labels help you have more of what you want, vs. constrict you? Hint: none of this has to be static or simple! Including empowering practices to help you embrace your unique sexual expression and gender(s).    

Class #5 - Communication

Communicating about sex is vulnerable, and also empowering. In addition to being the only possible path to getting more of what you want, it can also build intimacy, when you do it right.  Including experiential practices to help you overcome shyness and shame, speak freely, listen with affirming curiosity, and develop sexually empowering relationships.
