Meet Your Teacher

Ruth L. Schwartz, Ph.D

Ruth is the founding director of the Conscious Girlfriend Academy and co-author, with Michelle Murrain, of the Amazon-bestselling Conscious Lesbian Dating & Love, as well as the author of seven other books.

She has taught at eight colleges and universities, including California State University Fresno, Cleveland State, Goddard College, Mills College, and Ashland University.

Ruth holds degrees and certificates in Transpersonal Psychology, Creative Writing, and many healing modalities, including shamanism.

She came out in 1982 and says, "I teach the classes I wish I'd had available to me decades ago. I had to learn the hard way, and created a lot of heartbreak along the way. Now I'm incredibly grateful to have assembled the tools that make lesbian love healthy, happy and drama-free."
